Obverse description The full coat of arms of the city of Le Havre in high relief at center, featuring a salamander on waves within an oval cartouche, surmounted by three fleurs-de-lys and a crown, topped by a radiant sun face. The arms are flanked by decorative branches of wheat and palm, with an anchor at the base. The city motto NUTRISCO ET EXTINGUO appears on a ribbon below, and the engraver's signature HAMEL GR. A ROUEN is inscribed in the lower exergue.
