Obverse description Half-length figure of Saint Barbara in prayer, shown in left profile with a radiant halo, her hands clasped at her chest. A crenellated tower appears behind her to the right, while a palm frond and a sword are crossed in the lower field. The engraver's signature V.F. BESSAIGNET appears in the exergue.
