Obverse description Armoured and draped bust of Philip II of Spain facing left, wearing elaborately decorated plate armour with ruff collar, rendered in high relief. The effigy is bearded and displays finely engraved details on the breastplate and shoulder pauldron. The legend encircles the bust along the outer rim within a beaded border.
