| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Nerva facing right, draped, rendered in the conventional late first-century Roman imperial style. The emperor's aged features are depicted with characteristic realism, the laurel wreath clearly articulated atop the head. The circular legend surrounds the bust, running from lower left to upper right across the field. The flan is broad and slightly irregular in outline, consistent with the cistophoric standard of Asia Minor. |
