| Beschrijving voorzijde | Elongated oval cast silver ingot of irregular form, its entire surface covered with multiple official authenticating stamps applied in a grid-like arrangement. The stamps, rendered in raised relief within rectangular cartouches, bear Japanese characters including the hallmark inscriptions 'Ofuregaki' and mint authority designations, applied by the Ginza silver office. Additional smaller roundel stamps are interspersed across the field, attesting to purity and official acceptance. The surface exhibits characteristic casting texture with areas of gold-toned wash, a standard finishing treatment applied to Kyōhō-era chōgin to indicate fineness. |
