Reverse description Plain, uninscribed reverse of irregular oval form with a smoothly convex, rounded surface showing the natural texture of the cast billon alloy. The surface exhibits characteristic mottled gold and silver toning typical of debased Hōei-period chogin, with no stamps, legends, or design elements applied. The rounded, organically shaped edges and uneven surface topography are consistent with the traditional Japanese casting technique employed at the Kyoto and Edo mints during the early eighteenth century.
