Reverse description A allegorical peace scene in high relief depicting two standing female figures and an infant before an olive tree with spreading branches; the figure on the left raises both hands skyward in supplication, while the central figure holds up an infant toward heaven. The shield of the French Republic (with Gallic rooster, inscribed 'RF') appears at lower left, and the shield of the United Kingdom at lower right. The legend 'PAX' is inscribed across the upper field, and the engraver's name 'LOUIS MULLER' appears in the lower exergue.
