Aanvullende informatie	Artaxias I founded the independent Armenian kingdom around 190 BC after the collapse of Seleucid power following Antiochus III's defeat at Magnesia, carving out a realm that would eventually stretch from the Caspian to the Euphrates. His bronze coinage is exceptionally scarce — the kingdom's early mint output was limited, and these small bronzes circulated hard in a region where Greek-style coinage was still a relatively new administrative tool. Kovacs 44 represents one of the more elusive types in the series.
