| 正面描述 | Draped female head facing right, hair bound in a sakkos; a single pendant earring and beaded necklace adorn the figure. The portrait is rendered in the plain, archaic-transitional style characteristic of Thessalian bronze coinage of the fourth century BC. The field is plain with no legend. |

Boione was a minor Thessalian community whose independent coinage output was limited and short-lived, making any surviving bronze issue genuinely scarce. The chalkous denomination — the smallest bronze unit in Greek monetary practice — circulated at the most transactional level of daily commerce, changing hands for bread, olives, and ferry tolls rather than in the treasuries of city-states.
The Aulock and SNG Copenhagen references here point to a small, well-documented type with a tight die corpus.
