Reverse description Seated figure, likely a deity such as Zeus or a local civic divinity, enthroned and facing left, rendered in a schematic style typical of Hellenistic Cilician civic bronzes. The figure appears to hold an attribute, possibly a sceptre or eagle, in the right hand. A partial Greek legend is visible in the right field and along the upper periphery of the flan, identifying the civic authority of Tarsos. The overall execution is characteristic of the irregular hammered flans produced at Tarsos during the late Hellenistic period.
