Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in the fine archaic-to-classical Ionian style characteristic of Kolophon's mint output. The hair is depicted in flowing waves bound by a laurel wreath, with long tresses falling behind the neck. The facial features are modelled with confident relief, showing a strong profile with a well-defined brow, nose, and lips. The field to the right is largely plain, with the flan showing typical irregular edges consistent with hand-struck production of the period.
