Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine archaic-to-classical Greek style with flowing hair elaborately dressed and secured beneath a wreath. The facial features are delicately modelled, with a straight nose, slightly parted lips, and a well-defined eye. Long wavy locks fall onto the neck and shoulder in the characteristic Ionian artistic tradition. The field is plain and unlettered.
