Bearded head of Zeus Ammon facing right, depicted with the characteristic ram's horn curling behind the ear, a syncretic attribute merging the Greek Zeus with the Egyptian deity Ammon. The hair is rendered in thick, flowing locks radiating from the crown, and the beard is full and wavy, rendered in the Hellenistic style typical of Ptolemaic bronze coinage. The portrait fills the flan with bold, high relief modelling consistent with Alexandrian workshop production. |

Double cornucopia (dikeras) set upright at center, the two horns joined at the base and bound with a decorative fillet, overflowing with fruits and grain at their mouths — an emblem of royal abundance closely associated with the Ptolemaic dynasty and especially with queen-consort iconography. Greek legends appear in the fields flanking the device, with control letters or monograms visible in the left and right fields. The composition is spare and emblematic, consistent with the chalkon denomination issued under the joint reign of Ptolemy IX and Cleopatra III. |
