Below the amphora, a tunny fish swims to the right, a recurring symbol on Kyzikene coinage referencing the city's maritime identity and the commercially significant bluefin tuna of the Propontis. The ethnic inscription ΚΥ-ΖΙ appears divided on either side of the amphora, identifying the issuing city. The composition is compact and well-organized within the small circular flan. |
