Obverse description Diademed head of Demetrios I facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait style characteristic of Seleucid royal coinage. The king's features are idealized, with a prominent diadem binding the hair. The flan is of irregular, serrate form with a scalloped edge typical of this bronze issue. The surface shows considerable wear and patination, obscuring finer details of the engraving. No legend appears on the obverse.
