Obverse description Diademed and veiled bust of Arsinoe III facing right, wearing a stephane and rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition. The hair is swept back beneath the veil and diadem, with fine modeling of the facial features. The effigy is set within a plain inner circle bordered by a beaded dotted border. The portrait reflects the deified status of the queen as consort of Ptolemy IV Philopator.
