| Beschrijving keerzijde | Standing figure of Apollo, depicted nude or lightly draped, in a frontal or three-quarter pose, holding a bow and resting his hand upon an arrow or supporting himself on a tripod, consistent with standard Seleucid Apollo reverse types. The figure occupies the central field, surrounded by the royal Greek legend arranged in two columns or around the periphery. The exergue contains a mint control mark (ΑΣ, ΛΣ, ΕΥ, or ΕΥΘ depending on the variety). The style is characteristic of the Dura-Europos mint, with somewhat provincial execution compared to the principal Antiochene issues. |
