Obverse description Head of Herakles facing right, clad in the scalp of the Nemean lion, the leonine ears and gaping jaws rendered in fine detail over the crown of the head. The youthful profile is modeled in high relief with a strong jaw and slightly parted lips, characteristic of the idealized Macedonian royal coinage type. The field is plain, with no legend or exergual inscription.
