Tisna was a Lydian city whose bronze coinage remains poorly documented — Babelon's Traité classification is still the primary reference framework, which itself signals how little subsequent scholarship has refined the attribution. The city's autonomous issues were produced during a window when Persian satrapal authority over western Anatolia was tightening, and small civic bronzes like this chalkon circulated within a genuinely compressed geographic range.
