| Obverse description | Radiate head of the nymph Rhodos facing right, wearing a stephane, with hair rolled and elaborately dressed in the Hellenistic fashion. The portrait is rendered in fine relief with delicate facial features, the hair arranged in tight waves drawn back from the forehead and secured beneath the stephane. The style is consistent with Rhodian bronze coinage of the late Classical to early Hellenistic period. |
