Reverse description A crab rendered in full frontal view, depicted with detailed carapace, prominent claws raised to either side, and multiple legs spread symmetrically — the principal civic emblem of Kos. The Greek letter Ω appears in the upper field between the claws, forming part of the ethnic abbreviation of the issuing city. A single detached crab claw is placed in the lower field below the body of the crab. The design fills the flan, with no border or exergual line.
