Reverse description Large upright Greek capital alpha (Α) prominently occupying the central field, serving as the civic abbreviation for Argos. Beneath the apex of the letter, a Heraklean club is depicted horizontally in the lower field, referencing the mythological heritage of the city. The devices are boldly incuse and rendered in a simple, direct style typical of small Argive bronze denominations. The flan edges are irregular and the surfaces show characteristic ancient patination with areas of reddish-brown bronze visible beneath the dark green corrosion.
