| 背面描述 | A seated female figure, identified as Hera or a local nymph, is depicted facing left in three-quarter view, seated on a throne or chair. She raises one arm, possibly holding a patera or scepter, while a dog or similar animal appears at her feet in the lower field. The abbreviated ethnic inscription ΦΑΛΑ appears in the right field, identifying the issuing city of Phalanna. The composition reflects the characteristic style of Thessalian civic bronze coinage of the fourth century BC. |

Phalanna was a minor Thessalian city whose coinage output was limited enough that its bronze issues survive in small numbers today. The BCD collection — assembled by a single dedicated collector over decades and sold through Numismatica Ars Classica in 2006 — remains the primary reference point for Thessalian bronzes precisely because civic issues like this one were systematically overlooked by earlier cataloguers. Rogers #458 had long been the standard citation before BCD superseded it for serious work on the series.
