Obverse description Head of Athena facing right, wearing a Corinthian helmet with a tall, elaborately crested plume rendered in fine relief. The helmet visor is pushed back to reveal the goddess's facial features. The rendering is characteristic of Thessalian civic coinage of the late Classical period, with bold, confident die-cutting typical of Pharsalian bronzes.
