Obverse description Bare-headed, cuirassed bust of the usurper Decentius facing right, rendered in the late Roman military portrait style with short, neatly combed hair swept forward and a prominent aquiline profile. The cuirass is visible at the truncation, detailed with articulated pteryges and a decorative border. The encircling Latin legend reads D N DECENTIVS NOB CAES, identifying him as Noble Caesar, running clockwise around the beaded border of the flan.
