Ceitil - Sebastião I Group 4 - Circumference or just traces of it only on reverse

The ceitil was Portugal's lowest-denomination copper coin, named almost certainly after Ceuta — the North African enclave taken in 1415 and held as a point of Portuguese pride long after its strategic value faded. By Sebastião I's reign the denomination was already archaic, a relic of a monetary system that had barely evolved since the reign of Afonso V. Group 4 pieces are distinguished by reverse die deterioration severe enough that the circumscription survives only partially or not at all — a direct consequence of the thin copper flans and low striking pressure applied to a coin nobody expected to last.
