Reverse description The reverse displays a crowned, facing bust of King Enrique IV set within a Gothic quatrefoil or cusped arch, the king depicted with long hair and a broad crown, wearing armour, with the bust occupying most of the central field. The quatrefoil frame is composed of lobed arches with beaded borders. Surrounding this central motif, the Christological acclamation legend in Gothic Latin reads XPS VINCIT XPS REGNAT XPS IMPE — the Laudes Regiae formula — arranged clockwise around the periphery, punctuated by decorative stops.
