| Obverse description | Shield bearing the Bourbon arms prominently displayed in the central field, enclosed within a plain inner circle. The armorial design features the characteristic Bourbon heraldic elements rendered in the Gothic style typical of mid-15th-century Liégeois coinage. A fleur-de-lis appears as a mint or privy mark initiating the surrounding legend. The circumferential legend in uncial Gothic lettering identifies the issuer, reading outward from the inner circle. |

| Reverse description | A bold cross pattée with flared terminals extends to the inner circle, dividing the reverse field into four quarters, each canton containing a fleur-de-lis in relief — three visible clearly in the lower and upper-left quarters, with a fourth partially obscured. The cross is centrally placed and boldly struck, characteristic of the hammered coinage of the Prince-Bishops of Liège. An inner circle borders the cross design from the surrounding marginal legend. The circumferential legend in uncial Gothic lettering proclaims the monetary authority of Louis, bishop-elect of Liège. |
