Reverse description A large eagle or bird of prey rendered in schematic Celtic style, facing left with wings spread and displayed, occupying the majority of the reverse field. The bird's plumage is indicated by incised parallel lines along the wings and body. Below the bird, a stylized architectural element suggestive of a temple or sacred enclosure is depicted, flanked by further Celtic decorative motifs including pellets and a sinuous serpentine line along the lower exergual area. The overall composition reflects the Gallo-Belgic artistic tradition with strong abstract tendencies.
