| Obverse description | Abstracted Celtic design occupying the full flan, featuring interlaced curvilinear motifs and scrollwork typical of Late Iron Age artistic tradition. A sinuous serpentine or zoomorphic form winds through the field, flanked by spiral and pellet ornaments. The composition is characteristic of the Eastern North Thames coinage tradition, rendered in low relief on an irregular flan. No legend or inscription is present. The surface exhibits a green patina consistent with prolonged burial. |
