Obverse description A boar advancing to the left occupies the central field, rendered in the stylised Celtic artistic tradition with emphatic bristles along the spine and a prominent snout. A partial Latin legend, reading DVBNOV, is distributed around the periphery of the flan. The surfaces display characteristic patination and flan irregularities consistent with hand-struck Celtic coinage of the late Iron Age period.
