| 背面描述 | Armored equestrian figure advancing to the right at a vigorous canter, the rider wearing a crested helmet and carrying a lance or spear. The horse is depicted in a lively, dynamic pose with all four legs extended. An Iberian legend in Levantine semi-syllabic script appears below the horse along the lower exergual line, reading the mint name of the Ausesken gens. |

The Ausesken were an Iberian people of the northeastern peninsula, and their coinage belongs to a broader phenomenon of indigenous bronze issues that proliferated across Hispania following Roman consolidation after the Second Punic War. Rome neither minted nor supplied sufficient small change for local economies in the provinces, leaving Iberian communities to fill the gap themselves under a loose tolerance that lasted until the Augustan rationalization of provincial coinage.
ACIP 1301 is among the better-documented Ausesken types, with the CNH referencing consistent weight standards suggesting a reasonably organized local issue rather than opportunistic casting.
