The Aulerci Eburovices, a Belgic-influenced Gaulish tribe occupying the territory around modern Évreux in Normandy, struck this series during the decade that saw Caesar's legions systematically dismantling tribal autonomy across Gaul. Whether production continued through the revolt years or was cut short by military disruption remains debated — the archaeological findspot distribution skews heavily toward hoards rather than site assemblages, suggesting accelerated deposition under pressure rather than gradual loss through circulation.
DT#2459-2461 distinguishes at least three die-linked variants within this type, a narrower grouping than the older Muret-Chabouillet classification captured in LT#7034.
