Opmerkingen

A meal coupon issued by the student dormitory attached to the Građevinski obrazovni centar Zvonko Brkić — a vocational construction training institution in Zagreb. These internal coupons functioned as a controlled meal-ticketing system within the Yugoslav self-management framework, where individual OOUR units (Osnovne organizacije udruženog rada) operated semi-autonomously and could issue their own institutional scrip for canteen use.

1990 puts this squarely in Yugoslavia's terminal economic crisis, when hyperinflation was eroding the dinar so rapidly that fixed-denomination meal tokens had practical advantages over cash. The institution itself would not survive the decade intact.
