Obverse description Within a double border composed of an inner beaded ring and an outer pearled rim, a stylized frontal bust or head is depicted in high relief, flanked on either side by a six-pointed star. Above the head, a spread eagle faces dexter, its wings displayed, rendered in the bold, simplified manner characteristic of late 13th-century Austrian bracteate coinage. The overall composition is confined within the circular inner field, with the design elements arranged symmetrically in the medieval provincial style associated with the Völkermarkt mint.
