| Beschrijving voorzijde | Single-sided bracteate struck in thin silver, displaying a stylized griffin passant in the central field, rendered in bold relief characteristic of 13th-century German bracteate coinage. The griffin motif, heraldic emblem of the Bishop Berthold von Leiningen, is enclosed within a double beaded or linear inner circle, itself surrounded by a plain outer border following the irregular flan edge. The design is executed in a flat, schematic manner typical of Bamberg episcopal bracteates of the mid-to-late Hohenstaufen period, with the overall composition conveying ecclesiastical authority through heraldic imagery rather than figural portraiture.
