Obverse description Four-fold quartered arms of the Bishopric of Chur displayed within an oval baroque cartouche, centered in the field and enclosed by a beaded inner circle. The episcopal coat of arms features the characteristic ibex and other heraldic charges of the see of Chur. A Latin legend encircles the design reading the bishop's title and dignities, interrupted by small ornamental stops.

Reverse description An ornate anchor cross with decoratively flared, foliate-tipped arms occupies the central field, enclosed within a plain raised circle. The cross arms bear elaborate baroque ornamentation with leaf-like projections at each terminal. A circular Latin legend surrounds the inner circle, incorporating the date divided across the legend, and reading from the Biblical text attributing dominion to God. The outer rim is dressed with a fine dentilated border.
