Obverse description Central field occupied by two interlaced Gothic letters 'C' forming a monogram, enclosed within a plain inner circle surrounded by a beaded border. A small cross pattée appears at the top of the inner circle. The circular legend in uncial Latin characters reads COMES SABAVDIE, distributed around the coin's periphery outside the beaded border. The style is consistent with the crude, hand-struck appearance typical of late 14th-century Savoyard feudal billon coinage.
