Reverse description Central device depicting a rampant lion facing left, rendered in the bold, stylized manner characteristic of late medieval Castilian coinage, set within a six-lobed cusped inner frame. A beaded border separates the central device from the surrounding circular Latin legend in the outer field. The lion's mane, raised forepaws, and tail are rendered with pronounced relief despite the limitations of the hammered technique. The flan is irregular in shape, as is typical of billon blancas of this period.
