Obverse description Central field displays three fleurs-de-lis arranged in triangular formation — two in chief and one in base — within a plain inner circle. The design evokes the traditional arms of France (ancien). A beaded inner border separates the central device from the surrounding circular Latin legend. The entire composition is typical of the late medieval French billon coinage produced under Charles VII during the Hundred Years War period.
