Reverse description A plain long cross with equal arms extending to the inner border divides the reverse field into four quadrants, a standard design for Breton blanc coinage of the period. The cross is bold and unadorned, rendered in the hammered Gothic style. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design between the inner beaded border and the outer rim, invoking a devotional inscription. The lettering is separated by stops and crosses in the manner typical of late medieval French feudal coinage.
