附加信息	Henry I of Albret — grandfather of Henry IV of France — ruled Béarn during one of the more politically precarious stretches of the Pyrenean frontier. Having lost the kingdom of Navarre to Ferdinand of Aragon in 1512, he spent decades attempting diplomatic and military recovery, a campaign that consumed both his treasury and his attention. Béarn's independent monetary output during this period was as much a declaration of continued sovereignty as a practical necessity, issued from a territory that refused to behave as the satellite it had effectively become. The PA#3318 attribution covers a nearly four-decade span, and die-by-die dating within this type remains unresolved.
