The entire design is enclosed within a plain inner circle surrounded by a prominent outer border of large raised pellets, typical of Tiflis Mint hammered copper issues. The irregular flan and variable relief are consistent with hand-struck production at the Tiflis Mint in the final years of the Kingdom of Kartli-Kakheti. |
