| 备注 |
The Banque de France's in-house printing facility at Chamalières produced internal trial and specimen material as a routine part of plate development and quality control — this 1972 piece is one such artifact, derived from the production plates for the 50 Francs Berlioz series that ran from 1972 to 1976. These essays were never intended to reach circulation and were typically logged, retained internally, or destroyed after evaluation.
Oscar Roty's engraving work on the Berlioz issue was among the more technically demanding of the postwar French series. That the trial material survives at all is the exception rather than the rule.
