Reverse description The Lion of Saint Mark depicted passant to the left, with wings raised, set within the field. A divided Latin legend surrounds the type, reading IN. HOC. S. - VINCIT, referencing the traditional Venetian motto of divine victory. The strike is typical of the small hammered silver issues of the Venetian mint, with a somewhat irregular flan and flat areas consistent with the series.
