Obverse description Hammered silver flan of irregular circular form bearing a multi-line Arabic legend in the field, reading 'Sultan Mehmed bin Ibrahim Khan', acknowledging the sultan's name and lineage. The script is rendered in a bold, somewhat cursive hand typical of mid-seventeenth-century Ottoman provincial coinage. Small rosette or star ornaments are interspersed between the lines of text, serving as decorative separators. The fields surrounding the legend show the characteristic rough texture of a hand-struck hammered coin. No figural imagery is present, consistent with Islamic numismatic tradition.
