| Obverse description | Central field bearing the tamgha (dynastic insignia) of the Crimean Khans rendered in stylized Arabic calligraphy, surrounded by the ruler's name and titles in flowing Arabic script. The legend identifies Selim I Giray as Khan. The entire design is executed in the bold, compressed calligraphic style typical of Crimean hammered coinage, with legends filling the irregularly shaped flan. The strike is characteristic of late 17th-century Bakhchysarai mint production. |
