Below the cartouche, Arabic-script legends record the mint name and the Hijri regnal date corresponding to AH 1183 (AD 1770). The inscription is set in multiple lines across the lower half of the flan, rendered in a bold but somewhat crude epigraphic style consistent with hammered billon coinage of the Crimean Khanate.
