Reverse description Central field displays a three-line Arabic inscription giving the mint name Baghche Saray (Bakhchisaray) and the AH date 1169, corresponding to 1756 CE. The word 'ضرب' (meaning 'struck' or 'minted') appears at the top of the inscription, a standard formula on Islamic coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly cracked at the edge, as is characteristic of hammered silver issues. The relief is shallow and the strike uneven, with portions of the legend weakly impressed due to the hand-hammering technique employed at the Bakhchisaray mint.
