| Reverse description | Reverse field similarly filled with bold Arabic inscriptions in high relief, hammered across the entire irregular flan surface. The legends are arranged concentrically and radially in the manner typical of Moroccan Benduqi gold issues of the Alawi dynasty, with no distinct border or exergue. The crude, vigorous letter forms reflect the artisanal striking methods employed at the Fes Hazrat mint during the reign of Sultan Moulay 'Abd al-Rahman. |
